R4 suction cups difficult to use

I recently picked up a new R4. I don’t have a hardware setup yet and I’m currently moving it between vehicles using the suction cup mount and curly cord. The provided suction cups seem really stiff and are not easy to get the RD mounted each time. I know, I know, first world problems….. For comparison my V1 was a breeze to mount and remove.

Any ideas on improving this or are there softer suction cups that work well and fit in the mounting bracket?
