Waze opening randomly

Recently I'll be driving and with no interaction I will look at the JBV1 screen and Waze will be open over the JBV1 screen also noticed some of the warning pop ups are smaller and square instead of the rectangle pop ups that are normally there

I am running the latest version on a Galaxy Android tablet.
