Radar Detector Recommendations?

The subject may be deceiving but it’s quite humorous. I would love to partake in being a radar enthusiast and testing/switching out radars on a weekly basis just for fun. However I would love to have some recommendations on where to start! I am a current R7 user, but want to expand my options for a hobby.
