Uniden R7 GPS Error Fix Found

So, I have a uniden R7 Radar detector that I purchased back when they came out. Not too long ago I began getting the "GPS Error" on the screen after boot. I tried updating as some other posts have and different techniques with no luck. So I decided to make a post in hopes of helping someone else fix this error.

Symptoms:
